The early lactation milk is known as colostrum, and carries the mother's antibodies to the baby. It can reduce the risk of many diseases in both the mother and baby. The exact components of raw milk varies by species, but it contains significant amounts of unsaturated fat, protein and calcium. Jersey cows produce a lower volumn, but a higher fat content in their milk and as a result, higher price at the market. Bovine growth hormone “BGH”, is a protein hormone that occurs naturally in the pituitary glands of cattle. It is a factor controlling the amount of milk produced by a dairy cow. Bovine somatotropin occurs naturally in the milk extracted from a cow. A synthetic version of BGH is injected into cows to increase milk production artificially. Lactose is a simple sugar that is present in all milk of the species of origin, and is digested with the help of the enzyme lactase. The production of this enzyme declines significantly after weaning in all mammals, including human beings. Lactose intolerance is the condition in which lactase is not produced in adulthood. With lactose intolerance, the result of consuming too much lactose is excess gas production and often diarrhea. Lactose-intolerant adults can drink about a cup of milk per day without severe problums. Some of the problums incountered are intestinal colic, intestinal irritation, intestinal bleeding, anemia, allergic reactions in infants and children as well as infections such as salmonella. Contaminated milk by blood and white (pus) cells as well as a variety of chemicals and insecticides are supposed to be rendered harmless by pasteurization. We should all observe that in nature nursing is provided for only the very youngest of mammals. Perhaps you should also consider that the bovine leukemia virus is found in more than three out of five dairy cows in the United States! This involves about 80% of dairy herds. Another result of consuming milk is the blood sugar spike that milk produces, and that the promoters don’t mention because they are promoting calcium phosphate. Human milk contains, on the average, 1.1% protein, 4.2% fat, 7.0% lactose, and will supply 72 kcal of energy per 100 grams. Cow's milk contains, on the average, 3.4% protein, 3.6% fat, and 4.6% lactose, and will supply 66 kcal of energy per 100 grams. Consider a two-step organic method to control Fire Ants

The first step is to drench the offending mounds with a combination of a gallon of compost tea, 2 ounces of Orange Oil and a tablespoon of liquid dish soap used as a drench will eliminate the majority of Fire Ants from the average size mound in one application. Beneficial Nematodes are predatory worms which use Fire Ant Larva, eggs and immature Fire Ants as host for their reproductive cycle. They are very prolific and will eliminate any Fire Ants not killed by drenching the Fire Ant mounds.
